UCSF GN team contributes to important new study on Acute Kidney Injury with Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors

Our team contributed to a new multicenter study characterizing clinical features of acute kidney injury (AKI) associated with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICPi), including the timing, risk factors, outcomes, and re-challenge characteristics.  The study was led by our collaborators Drs. Shruti Gupta and David Leaf at the Brigham & Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School, and included 429 patients with ICPi-associated AKI from 30 sites across 10 countries. The study was published in the Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer (JITC). The GN Center's Dr. Chris Carlos and Dr. Raymond Hsu are co-authors.
