Nephrologists
Dr. Raymond Hsu is Associate Professor of medicine in the Division of Nephrology. Within nephrology, he is the director of the glomerular disease program at UCSF Health, with expertise in treating patients with (but not limited to): minimal change disease, FSGS, membranous nephropathy, IgA nephropathy, lupus nephritis, ANCA-mediated vasculitis, renal thrombotic micro-angiopathies, pregnancy-associated kidney diseases, and renal complications of cancer and cancer therapies (onco-nephrology).
Dr. Hsu earned his medical degree from Northwestern University. He completed internal medicine residency at University of Washington and his nephrology fellowship at UCSF. During his fellowship, he obtained a Master's Degree in Clinical Research from the UCSF School of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Dr. Hsu is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
Dr. Christopher Carlos is Assistant Professor within the Division of Nephrology and a board-certified nephrologist. He practices both inpatient and outpatient clinical nephrology, with special expertise and emphasis in glomerular disorders and onco-nephrology (kidney complications of cancer therapies). He is lead investigator for industry-sponsored research and clinical trials in our glomerular disease program.
Dr. Carlos earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at UCSF, where he also completed a fellowship in Nephrology. During his fellowship, he obtained a Master's Degree in Clinical Research from the UCSF School of Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
Dr. Leticia Rolón is Assistant Professor within the Division of Nephrology and is our lead physician for peer education and outreach within the glomerular disease program. She cares for a broad spectrum of patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings, with a special expertise in glomerular disorders, renal vasculitis, lupus nephritis, and paraprotein-related kidney disease.
Dr. Rolón earned her medical degree at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. During her undergraduate career at UCLA, she was a Roegents Scholar, one of the highest honors conferred on students in the UC system. Upon graduation from medical school, she then completed both residency training in internal medicine and nephrology fellowship at UCSF. Upon joining the faculty at UCSF, she was selected as a John A. Watson Faculty Scholar.
Dr. Rolón has a passion for medical education, and works on curriculum development and implementation as Assistant Director for the Renal, Endocrine, GI and Nutrition course in the UCSF Bridges curriculum, as well as Associate Director for the new UCSF-San Joaquin Valley PRIME curriculum. Dr. Rolonis a native Spanish speaker.

Divya Seth is a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Glomerular Disease Center who began working with UCSF Nephrology in 2017.
She received her bachelor’s degree in Molecular Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley and is aspiring to go to medical school in the near future. She has a longstanding passion for mitigating healthcare disparities while improving access to care in the community, and her research and community service activities aim to accomplish these goals. At the Glomerular Disease Center, Divya is responsible for organizing and managing research operations. Her responsibilities include developing and maintaining IRB, recruiting eligible patients for our studies, and collaborating with industry and academic institutions. In her spare time Divya is an avid baker and lover of all things related to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
